Of course, we all know how this debacle turned out for the principals involved. Sprewell served his one-year sentence and then went on to become an icon with the Knicks and the T-Wolves, continuing to feed his family and his stable of bitches on the side with the many millions he made every year playing basketball up through last season. Meanwhile, Carlesimo’s head-coaching job with Golden State was his last, and since 2002 he’s been carrying Gregg Popovich’s spitbucket down in San Antonio. If anyone remembers him at all, it’s because Spree gave him a good chokin’ one day back in the dizzle.
The lesson here, kids, is this - if your coach is giving you a hard time, strangle the shit out of him. Sure, it’ll be a pain in the ass in the short term, but in the end it'll work out just fine.
