Federer/Nadal II - The Thrilla at Wimbledilla

Are we comfortable with the Federer as Ali and Nadal as Frazier thing here? It has some holes in it, I know, but it works for me somehow.

In keeping with the spirit of the whole thing, Nadal won their first Grand Slam final showdown just last month at Roland Garros. Federer dazzled him early, but Nadal found his left hook in the second set, and floored Fed at 2:34 of the 15th round to seal up a unanimous decision, just like a certain someone did to a certain someone in a certain fight at the Garden a quarter century ago.

So what's on tap for the second fight? Will they again follow in the footsteps of Ali and Smokin Joe, with Fed winning a lackluster decision in a bout destined to be fogotten by history? Or will they just skip to Manila, 14 rounds of brain-bludgeoning heroism, "the closest thing to dying" we will ever know, a battle that ennobles all who witness it?

Me, I'm predicting the latter. I won't go into my reasoning - suffice it to say, I'm just feeling it. So set your alarms, fight fans. Cause it's gonna be a chilla, and a killa, and a thrilla, when Fed meets up with The Mallorcan Zilla, Sunday morning at Wimbledilla.

I'm just stoked that Federer finally has a rival for this era in Tennis. I'm excited to see if Nadal can seriously improve his hardcourt game. Dude is ridiculously young.
