HAWK TIME
When "What time is it?" was the question, in Aaron Pryor's world there was only one answer: "Hawk Time!" It was his signature call and response mantra, a training camp and pre-fight psych up. But it was also an undisputed truth. From 1976 to 1985 every time Aaron Pryor stepped into the ring it was Hawk Time. Time for Pryor to fire and land impossible combinations, to lure his prey with a seemingly wide open style, and close the show with relentless agression. Pryor won 36 straight fights, 32 by knockout, including two KOs of the great Alexis Arguello, and earned his place in the Boxing Hall of Fame, where it is and will always be...Hawk Time.
