Bangin Pots: The Freddy Sez Story

As a tribute to the old Yankee Stadium (or the newer incarnation of the old Yankee Stadium) we made a short documentary last year about Fred Schuman aka Freddy Sez. On the way from his Upper West Side apartment to the Bronx for the Stadium’s last opening day, the eighty-three year old tells tells the story of his transformation into the Yankees’ pan-and-spoon-carrying unofficial mascot. We’ve saved it for this moment, and we hope you enjoy.

Regards from Broadway

Fellas, you missed a good one last night at BB King. KOs for our dudes Tor Hamer, Will Rosinsky, and Sadam Ali. But not to worry: There Will Be Video.

Ben Younger (writer and director of Boiler Room and Prime) who helmed an Undercard special feature yesterday about Tor. We stepped production up with a sound man and two cameras: highly coveted free agent DP Darren Lew and our homegrown star Nick Strini on camera two. Was an amazing day (besides a near nervous breakdown from I-Berg when our digital offloading system briefly failed), and we are all psyched to see the finished product.

Photos by Jason Mcdonald, who was late to the party, but came with guns blazing.

The Undercard: Willpower

Please check out the newest episode of the Undercard, starring Will Rosinsky. As some of you will remember, Will was one of the original subjects of Brooklyn to Beijing and we have been following him since he won the he gloves in 2007. After a year where had decided to forgo a pro career and focus on teaching, Will changed his mind.

“Willpower” was shot around his pro debut in August. He is also gonna be on the Wednesday Oct. 22nd Broadway Boxing at BB King’s. We will be in there shooting. If anyone is interested in tickets give me a shout as I believe some are still available through Will.

Please let us know what you think, and please forward a link to www.nomas.tv to anyone you think would be interested. Congrats to Nick Strini on what I think is the best episode yet.
