Paulie Protex?

A little grist for the prognostification mill…

No Mas’s agency side Office of AIR is now the agency of record for Everlast, and we’ve been working with them on videos to promote their new fight gloves. Historically they’ve only ever offered one fight glove but this year they introduced “The MX”, a made in Mexico punchers glove that compares favorably to Reyes, and the Protex 3. The Protex offers the kind of protection a volume puncher with fragile hands might be looking for, and Paulie, apparently consulted on its development.

Check the video below, wherein Paulie waffles on whether he’ll use the Protex 3 or the less padded Mexican. The glove he comes out in tonight may offer an early clue on his fight strategy.

btw, last few months have been crazy for me between getting married and the amazing things happening at The Mas (more to come on that soon). But I’m concerned I may have stiffed a couple contest winners. If you won and haven’t received your gear yet, please leave a comment below or get in touch direct if you have my email. Good luck tonight and congratulations to KRONK’s Andy Lee who we shot last night for The Undercard. 8th round TKO in Indiana.

Not to cry over a T, but I gotta believe I was in the mix for Cotto-Clottey. I wrote:

“Large, sorry to be a biter. I got a split decision for Cotto as well, 116-112, 115-113, 113-115. I think Cotto boxes just enough to win. The crowd won’ hurt either.”

As for Paulie last night, pretty tough to see a man in a crossroads fight be told he lost 10 of 12 rounds in a fight he won. I thought he said what needed to be said to Kellerman after the fight (aside from attacking the wrong judge).

On a related note, what, if anything, happens to judges who score fights so incorrectly? It seems like everyone is always content to say “that’s boxing,” but can’t something be done?

    J. – the only thing that can be done to judges is that the State Commission that licenses them revokes the license. Generally, at most, the Commission just has a meeting with them to go over the fight. I know that the Nevada Commission (at least when Ratner was there) used to meet with the judges and refs after every card and they would point out mistakes or at least ask why a judge had scored a fight so disparately from the other judges.

Most times nothing major ever happens, even to the worst of judges. I remember a few years ago when a New Jersey judge named Eugenia Williams famously had Evander Holyfield winning the first fight with Lennox Lewis. People screamed bloody murder (front page of the NY Post!). I think there was some sort of investigation but ultimately nothing came of it. That was in 1999.

A few years later in 2003, I had a fighter named Travis Simms challenging for the WBA Jr. Middleweight title down in AC and I check to see who the assigned judges are and I see a Jean Williams. So I ask Larry Hazzard (then Commish of NJ) if that is the same person who scored the Holyfield fight. He tells me yes. I say I don’t want her as the judge, she’s incompetent. He tells me “well you have to allow people to be rehabilitated, that fight was a long time ago.” Bottom line, he refuses to boot her out of the match and owing to the fact that it was a Don King promotion and Don and I were at each other’s throats – I got no support from him. (I also got the feeling that since she had scored for Holyfield, Don’s fighter back in the day, Don would have been loath to remove her under any circumstance.)

Thank goodness, Simms knocked the champ (Garcia) out in five rounds so it never came into play – but I was definitely nervous if it went to the cards. I think she’s still judging today – it’s ridiculous.

How would you like to be able to display affiliate products from MULTIPLE Affiliate Networks (Amazon, Linkshare, Commission Junction and Affiliate Window with Avantllink coming shortly) in a price comparison format? The script can be installed very easily on your website, just like any other plugin, and you could have product price comparison tables in just a few minutes. Installing and activating the plugin takes around 30 seconds to do. Wait until you see what this software is capable of doing. You can change how the product price comparison units look and function. Change the size, colors, buttons and width of your price comparison units. There are little thumbnail images of the merchant on each of the products. You can choose to not include this is you prefer. The software will automatically refresh the product prices on a daily basis if you tell it to. There is also a manual button that you can push in order to update prices. Select the pieces of information you wish to include or exclude from your comparison e.g. product thumbnails, merchant logos, product titles etc. Choose Amazon or Linkshare categories, limit products by price and much more. You have complete control over which products actually show up on your page. Save your settings and your newly created price comparison until will automatically appear on the page or post you assigned it to. Every step of the installation process is detailed in full, easy to follow even if you are a complete novice. You can use this plugin on an UNLIMITED number of websites. One thing that I don’t see here are those little in-line links that are so popular these days. It’s just a simple plugin that is easily installed and it automatically creates affiliate links in the text on a blog and also links different pages together for SEO purposes. This is actually a pretty powerful little tool and it does much more than just create links on a blog. I mostly just use it for automatically linking keywords to my affiliate links. It beats the heck out of manually creating affiliate links. SEO Smart Links can automatically interlink your content to key pages deeper into the site improving both search engine rankings (by using relevant anchor text in the links) and search engine crawling of your site. So the bottom line is that through automatic interlinking of your pages you will get better rankings and through automatic affiliate linking you get more commissions. If you haven’t already heard about this, I urge you to check it out. Check it Out -> http://cash411.info/go/223/

What an excellent analysis! No idea how you were able to say this report..it’d take me weeks. Well worth it though, I’d suspect. Have you considered selling ads on your blog?

What a wonderful description! I have no clue how you were able to say this text..it’d take me long hours. Well worth it though, I’d assume. Have you considered selling advertising space on your blog?

I have noticed that over the course of making a relationship with real estate owners, you’ll be able to get them to understand that, in every single real estate transaction, a fee is paid. Eventually, FSBO sellers tend not to “save” the commission. Rather, they struggle to earn the commission simply by doing the agent’s task. In doing this, they spend their money and time to conduct, as best they are able to, the jobs of an agent. Those tasks include uncovering the home through marketing, representing the home to prospective buyers, constructing a sense of buyer desperation in order to prompt an offer, making arrangement for home inspections, managing qualification checks with the loan provider, supervising repairs, and facilitating the closing of the deal.

Hi, I’m hoping to reach an admin in charge of this webblog – I wasn’t able to find a working contact form. Right now, my boss is hiring writers for a few niches including this one and we’re willing to pay up to $25 an article. Grammatical fluency in English is required, and if you know any other languages and are willing to translate, we will certainly raise your pay significantly. On average, our writers begin earning about $1,200 a week. We desperately have to fill our vacancies within the next day or two. Please go to http://earn4800permonth.info and register to get a better idea of what we have to offer. I will be glad to talk to any qualified writers in the member’s area.
